Brisk southeasterly winds preceded a front that moved northeast across the Alaska Peninsula late Sunday and early Monday...then through the central North Gulf Coast Tuesday morning. Gusts reached 45 mph at Cold Bay late Sunday and early Monday...and 46 mph at Middleton Island late Monday afternoon.
