A wind gust of 80 mph was reported at Bluemont as a vigorous cold front swept through the Virginia piedmont. Wind gusts progressed eastward through the county and into Fairfax County, causing scattered power outages. In Fairfax Co, the high winds caused 4000 customers to temporarily lose power.
