A nearly stationary thunderstorm dumped very heavy rain (3 to 4 inches) across eastern Pike county. Serious street flooding was reported in Milford. Also, local law enforcement officials had to rescue 500 to 700 people from the agricultural fairgrounds as flood waters rapidly reached a depth of one to two feet.
