Severe thunderstorms moved across extreme northeast Oklahoma during the late evening of September 25th and very early morning of September 26th. Strong thunderstorm winds downed large tree limbs and damaged 3 power poles in Vinita. Trees and power lines were blown down in Dewey, and several large tree limbs were blown down near Westport. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 70 miles an hour 6 miles west of Maramec and to 60 miles an hour 3 miles east of Burbank. Quarter size hail fell at Miami, nickel size hail fell 6 miles west of Maramec, and dime size hail fell at Okesa.
