A severe thunderstorm struck northwest Niagara county during the afternoon. The thunderstorm caused damage to the grounds at the Niagara Frontier Country Club. Several trees had very large limbs, two to three feet in diameter, knocked down. Tree limbs also knocked down some power lines at the Club golf course. Several picnic tables, weighing 150 pounds each, were overturned by the strong winds.
