A severe thunderstorm crossed Chautauqua county during the early afternoon. The thunderstorm was accompanied by very heavy rain and large hail. Several home sustained damage by falling trees and limbs. A small barn was leveled. A large barn sustained major damage as the windward quarter of the barn was ripped off. The pieces of the structure were blown several hundred feet downwind.
