A strong cold front and associated low pressure ushered in intense northwest winds to south central Nebraska. In Dawson county, windows were shattered and there were numerous reports of roof and tree damage. Sustained winds of 35 to 50 mph were observed with gusts to 70 mph. In Minden, trees and roofs were damaged and power was unavailable for a time during the evening. Unharvested corn suffered minor stalk breakage.
