During December 7 and 8, a low pressure system moved from the Chesapeake Bay northeast to Portland Maine. The winter storm dumped heavy wet snow across Berkshire County. Power outages were widespread as the heavy snow downed many trees and power lines. Snowfall reached 13 inches at Dalton.
