Heavy rain, associated with a deepening low pressure system off the New Jersey and Delaware Coasts caused flooding along the Christina River in New Castle County. At Cooch's Bridge, the river was above its 9 foot flood stage from 430 a.m. until 930 a.m. EST on the 6th. It crested at 10.3 feet at 645 a.m. EST on the 6th. No serious damage was reported. Storm totals included 1.55 inches in Pennyhill, 1.2 inches in Price's Corner and 1.05 inches at the New Castle County Airport.
