Brisk northwest winds on the back side of a moderate 987mb low just south southwest of Kodiak were reported across many areas of the eastern Aleutians and Alaska Peninsula. Wind gusts reached 54 mph at Cold Bay, 58 mph at Dutch Harbor, 55 mph at Dillingham and close to 85 mph at Akutan.
