Damaging Wind in Ohio, October 30, 1996
Trees, limbs and power lines were downed in several locations, particularly in the Lorain and Elyria areas. A wind gust of 58 miles per hour was reported in the city of Lorain where a large limb fell on a police cruiser, breaking the windshield, at least one other tree fell on a car and a shed was blown into another car.

Trees, limbs and power lines were downed in several locations, particularly in the Lorain and Elyria areas. A wind gust of 58 miles per hour was reported in the city of Lorain where a large limb fell on a police cruiser, breaking the windshield, at least one other tree fell on a car and a shed was blown into another car. Windows were blown out at Discount Auto Sales. Also, in the city of Lorain, a large tree fell on St. Lad's Club and crushed the back hall. In Elyria, a cement block wall on the third floor of a partially renovated apartment building was blown over.
