Trees were knocked down. During the afternoon of November 11th, a line of severe thunderstorms developed quickly just ahead of an advancing cold front. The line began its development from 50 S of Charlotte to 50 W of Augusta. A 55 kt low level at 3kft pushed the line rapidly eastward across the state. These strong low level winds mixed down to the ground in the thunderstorms and knocked down trees and power lines.
