A squall line developed in a very warm and unstable airmass during the late afternoon hours. A tornado skipping through the town of Lamberville caused approximately two million dollars of damage. Extensive damage was done to homes, trees and power lines. Several homes were damaged as a result of fires started by the downed power lines. In addition, numerous reports of pea- and marble-size hail were received along with one observation of 3/4 inch hail. No damage was reported with any of this events.
