A thunderstorm produced a wind gust of 83 mph at the WeatherFlow station 1694W at Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. Some empty cargo containers were blown around by the wind and hit the airport perimeter fence.

A best track is the record a warning agency settles on after the storm, not what it said at the time: position, maximum sustained wind and central pressure every six hours, revised against every observation that came in later.
