February 16, 1627, E of Zhongwei, Ningxia Autonomous Region, 37.5 N, 105.5 E, magnitude 6, intensity VIII. At the Shikong Temple, the Leishan stone hall collapsed and some monks were killed. City walls, houses, side-walls (a part of the Great Wall), mound platforms collapsed in all villages in Ningxia. The earth quaked more than one hundred times. (reference #3939)
