June 2, 1219, Guyuan, Ningxia Autonomous Region, 36 N, 106.2 E, magnitude 6.5, intensity VIII-IX.
Earthquakes were particularly intense at Guyuan, E.
of Tongxin and E of Jingning. Houses collapsed, killing tens of thousands of people and still more domestic animals. Mud city walls of 20 km SW of Jingning collapsed (rebuilt later).
