...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in New
Mexico...
Pecos River Near Lake Arthur affecting Chaves County.
.Heavy rains north and east of Lake Arthur on Thursday and Thursday
night will result in significant and dangerous rises on the river
Saturday. Pay attention to river forecasts for changes in height and
timing information.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.
* WHERE...Pecos River near Lake Arthur.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Sunday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:15 PM MDT Friday the stage was 11.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 17.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Saturday morning to a crest of 22.1 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.9
feet on 09/24/1941.

through flooded areas.
