THROUGH 1230 PM CDT...

At 1200 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout near Lake Charles Regional Airport,
moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
         could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
         objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Charles and Lake Charles Regional Airport.

THROUGH 1245 PM CDT...

At 1220 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout over Lowry, or near Lake Arthur,
moving north at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
         could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
         objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Arthur, Klondike, Lowry, and Thornwell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
