This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

There is a chance of thunderstorms today, mainly during the
afternoon and early evening hours. A few of these storms could
become severe with all threats possible including large hail,
damaging wind gusts, and even a tornado or two. The best potential
for severe weather will exist primarily for the northeast portion
of the area or generally east of a line from Morehead to Hazard.

In addition, winds could gust to between 30 and 35 mph this
afternoon outside of any thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Spotter activation is not anticipated.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Harlan, Bell, east
central Knox, southwestern Leslie and southeastern Clay Counties
through 245 PM EDT...

At 159 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cubage, or 11 miles southeast of Pineville, moving northeast at 60
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Pathfork, Hensley Store and Martins Fork around 205 PM EDT.
  Wallins Creek, Kentenia, Tremont, White Star, Coldiron,
  Teetersville, Molus, Mary Alice, Tacky Town and Liggett around 210
  PM EDT.

At 202 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Clay Lick, or 7 miles west of Frenchburg, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail. Rotation
         has been indicated within this storm.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
