The best potential for severe weather will exist primarily for the northeast portion of the area or generally east of a line from Morehead to Hazard. In addition, winds could gust to between 30 and 35 mph this afternoon outside of any thunderstorms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. At 159 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cubage, or 11 miles southeast of Pineville, moving northeast at 60
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
