This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms will continue over the area this evening
and become more widespread for locations east of the Kansas
turnpike, mainly during the night time hours. Some of the storms
could produce heavy rainfall and cause some flooding problems. See
latest flood watch for more details.

In addition, a few strong storms could produce small hail or gusty
winds across south central and southeast Kansas. Severe weather is
not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorms could redevelop early Thursday afternoon across
southeast Kansas, especially if ample daytime heating occurs. A few
strong to severe are possible.

Thunderstorms will be possible late Saturday night into early
Sunday morning for areas along and north of I-70. Some of these
storms could reach severe levels.

Thunderstorms could affect the region again on Monday and Tuesday.

At 538 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Chilocco, or 7 miles south of Arkansas City, moving northeast at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.
