Flood Watch is in effect for the Brush Country through 7 PM this
evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy
rainfall will continue until early this evening. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches with isolated amounts of 3 inches or more
possible, which may lead to Flash Flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Maximum Heat Index values of 105 to 109 degrees can be expected each
afternoon.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
Thursday through the weekend.

...TROPICAL FUNNEL CLOUDS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON...

The combination of light winds and abundant tropical moisture
will make the atmosphere favorable for the development of weak
tropical funnels this afternoon over the Brush Country and Rio
Grande Plains. Most of these funnel clouds will be short lived
and usually do not touch the ground. However, you should be
prepared to seek shelter in the event a funnel does reach the
ground.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of east central Webb
County through 445 PM CDT...

At 418 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Oilton, or 18 miles northwest of Hebbronville, moving north at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Tropical funnel clouds possible. Winds in excess of 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Oilton and Mirando City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
