The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Far western Connecticut
  Far western Massachusetts
  Western to northern New Jersey
  Southeast New York
  Eastern Pennsylvania

* Effective this Wednesday night from 755 PM until Midnight EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Line segments will continue to push east from eastern
Pennsylvania into southwest New England this evening with a threat
for damaging winds and a tornado or two.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles east and west of a line from 5 miles northwest of
Pittsfield MA to 35 miles south southwest of Allentown PA. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
