The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  northern Delaware
  northern Maryland
  New Jersey
  southeast New York
  southeast Pennsylvania
  northeast Virginia
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 330 PM until
  1100 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...Storms developing along and east of the central
Appalachians will spread east and become capable of producing
isolated damaging wind over a portion of the Middle Atlantic and
Northeast States this afternoon and early evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west of
Harrisburg PA to 25 miles northeast of Lakehurst NJ. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
