627 WWUS20 KWNS 121211 SEL8 SPC WW 121211 ALZ000-FLZ000-GAZ000-CWZ000-121800- URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 168 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 815 AM EDT Wed May 12 2021 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southeast Alabama Northern Florida Southwest Georgia Coastal Waters * Effective this Wednesday morning and afternoon from 815 AM until 200 PM EDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible SUMMARY...A well-organized cluster of storms will continue eastward today across southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle toward southern Georgia and additional parts of northern Florida, with additional development possible later today near a southward-advancing cold front. Isolated damaging winds are expected to be the most common hazard. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles northwest of Panama City FL to 20 miles south of Valdosta GA.
