The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Extreme southeastern Alabama
  A small part of the northern Florida Panhandle
  Southern Georgia
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 850 PM
  until 100 AM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...A broken band of severe storms, with embedded supercells
and small bowing segments, will persist for a few more hours before
weakening from west-to-east later tonight.  The primary threats will
be large hail and damaging gusts, though a tornado or two cannot be
ruled out with supercells in the short term.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 30
statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west southwest
of Dothan AL to 15 miles east southeast of Brunswick GA. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
