The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
West Central Sterling County in west central Texas...
* Until 1100 PM CDT.
* At 800 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen between Highways US 87 and 158. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Also,
flooding is possible along US 87 and Highway 158 and
motorists should be alert and slow down.
