  County. 

  Elk River near Tiff City affecting McDonald County.

  Jacks Fork at Alley Spring affecting Shannon County.

  Jacks Fork River at Eminence affecting Shannon County.

  James River at Galena affecting Stone County.

.Heavy rain over the region will cause river levels to rise to near 
or above flood stage. Details for each location are included below.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

* At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 2.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just 
  after midnight tonight to a crest of 11.5 feet tomorrow morning. 
  It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet, much of Alley Spring Campground floods. 
  Water flows through Alley Spring Campground and isolates the 200 
  Area Camp Sites.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just 
  after midnight tonight to a crest of 13.8 feet tomorrow evening. 
  It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, water at the lower TA 250 Training Ground 
  is two feet deep.

* At 9:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 5.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  tomorrow morning to a crest of 16.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will 
  then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Flood waters impact Shoal Canoe Rental and 
  Motel one mile south of the gage site. Railey Creek at the rental 
  and hotel area south of the gage site begins to backwater along 
  the James River. (936 FT MSL)

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  tomorrow morning to a crest of 15.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. 
  It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, minor flooding occurs at the gage site. The 
  Cowskin River Floating Public Access Area on the west side of 
  Highway 43 floods. The access road to the RV Park at Herman's 
  Campground two miles upstream from the bridge floods.
