* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Barry County in southwestern Missouri...
Southeastern McDonald County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 230 PM CDT Wednesday.
* At 825 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly. Particularly near Roaring River State Park, the upper
head waters of Big Sugar Creek, and Flat Creek.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Cassville, Seligman, Exeter, Washburn, Shell Knob, Golden, Emerald
Beach and Eagle Rock.
This includes the following low water crossings...
Highway 39 at Flat Creek near Jenkins, Highway 76, 1 Mile
southwest of Cassville, Route C just south of Mcdowell, Highway 39
at Flat Creek south of Jenkins, Route U, 8 miles east of Purdy and
Route Y at Flat Creek just northeast of Cassville.
