The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southwestern McDonald County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 815 PM CDT Wednesday.
* At 209 PM CDT, Emergency management reported that Little Sugar
Creek near Bella Vista Arkansas was flooding due to 5 to 7 inches
of rain that fell in it's head water region earlier this morning.
This flood wave will continue along the Little Sugar Creek into
McDonald County Missouri. Expect dangerous rises in the Little
Sugar Creek in southern McDonald County over the next few hours.
This flood wave will then continue along the Elk River that runs
through central and western McDonald County.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pineville, Noel, Lanagan and Cayuga.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
