The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
North central Glasscock County in western Texas...
Southern Howard County in western Texas...
Southeastern Martin County in western Texas...
* Until 430 AM CDT.
* At 344 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lomax, or 12
miles southwest of Big Spring, moving northeast at 25 mph. This
storm has a history of producing winds in excess of 80 mph near
Lomax.
This is a very dangerous storm.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Big Spring, Stanton, Lomax, Big Spring Country Club, Elbow and Big
Spring McMahon-Wrinkle Airpark.
