The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Grant County in central Arkansas...
  Southeastern Pulaski County in central Arkansas...
  Southeastern Saline County in central Arkansas...

* Until 250 AM CDT.

* At 1048 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, Jacksonville, Downtown 
  Little Rock, Sheridan, Southwest Little Rock, North Little Rock 
  Airport, Shannon Hills, Wrightsville, Argenta, East End, Cane 
  Creek, Ironton, Sweet Home, Geyer Springs, State Fairgrounds, 
  Levy, Burns Park and Protho Junction.

Heavy rain will continue to move into the warning area. 
Precipitation will likely train over the same locations leading to 
areas of flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
