The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Simpson County in south central Kentucky...
  West central Allen County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 645 AM CDT.

* At 610 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 10 miles southwest of Memphis Junction to 7 miles
  north of Cross Plains, moving east at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hillsdale, Black Jack, Neosheo, Clare, Geddes, Mcelroy Ford, Pope,
  Butlersville, Trammel and Salmons.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately.

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SIMPSON AND WEST CENTRAL ALLEN
COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...
            
The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However gusty winds, 
frequent lightning, and heavy rain are still possible with these 
thunderstorms.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
south central Kentucky.
