The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Butler County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 730 AM CDT.

* At 420 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Morgantown, Rochester, Woodbury, South Hill, Dunbar, Leetown, 
  Silver City, Youngtown, Mining City and Dimple.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Butler County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 900 AM CDT.

* At 657 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding along 
  numerous roads across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of 
  rain have fallen. While the heaviest rains have ended, light to 
  moderate rain will continue for the next couple of hours and 
  prolong flooding issues.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms and heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.
