This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Litchfield County in
northwestern Connecticut and the mid Hudson Valley and the southern
Taconics in eastern New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is a slight risk of severe weather in the afternoon and early
evening. The main threat is scattered damaging wind gusts of 58 mph
or greater, with large hail the size of quarters or larger being a
secondary threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Another Heat Advisory may be needed Wednesday afternoon.

A Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms is possible Wednesday and
Thursday afternoons with isolated damaging winds the main threats.

Localized heavy rainfall leading to urban and poor drainage flooding
and isolated flash flooding is possible Wednesday and Thursday into
Thursday night.

There is a chance of thunderstorms on Friday.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN FULTON...
SOUTHEASTERN HERKIMER AND NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTIES...

At 122 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Little Falls,
moving east at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Little Falls, Canajoharie, Fort Plain, St. Johnsville, Ephratah,
Oppenheim, Palatine Bridge, Nelliston, Ingham Mills, Cook Corners,
Flat Creek, Mindenville, Kelhi Corners, Davys Corners, Fical Corners,
McKinley, Ingham Mills Station, West Saint Johnsville, Sand Hill and
Wrights Corners.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 29 and 29A.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
