The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  West central Litchfield County in northern Connecticut...
  East central Dutchess County in east central New York...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 416 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Millbrook, or
  11 miles east of Poughkeepsie, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Torrington, New Milford, Pleasant Valley, Amenia, Kent, Millbrook,
  Litchfield, Gaylordsville, New Preston, Cornwall Bridge, Wingdale,
  Dover Plains, Bethlehem, Washington, Goshen, Morris, Warren,
  Cornwall, Bantam and Salt Point.

At 446 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near New Preston, or
9 miles north of New Milford, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Torrington, New Milford, Kent, Litchfield, New Preston, Cornwall
Bridge, Gaylordsville, Bethlehem, Washington, Goshen, Morris, Warren,
