...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN BERTIE...
SOUTHEASTERN HERTFORD...SOUTHEASTERN GATES AND NORTHWESTERN CHOWAN
COUNTIES...

At 959 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Harrellsville,
or 7 miles west of Ryland, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with this storm. In
addition...Doppler radar has indicated weak rotation with this
storm. While a tornado is not immediately likely, remain alert for
any possible warnings.

This storm will be near...
  Gatesville around 1020 PM EDT.
  Hobbsville around 1025 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Sign Pine, Gliden,
Carter, Newsome Store, Arrowhead Beach and Trotville.

If you see lightning or hear thunder, you are at risk! Take shelter
indoors immediately. If you cannot find shelter in a building a
vehicle provides safety from lightning.

Strong wind gusts are possible with this storm. These wind gusts are
capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other
light outdoor objects.

...A CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN
PASQUOTANK...NORTH CENTRAL CAMDEN AND NORTHWESTERN PERQUIMANS
COUNTIES...

At 1052 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Hobbsville to Belvidere to near
Tyner. Movement was east to northeast at 15 mph.

Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

These storms will be near...
  Belvidere around 1055 PM EDT.
  Winfall around 1120 PM EDT.
  Elizabeth City, South Mills, Morgans Corner and Chapanoke around
  1130 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Burnt Mills, Rabbit
Corner, Lynchs Corner, Pierceville, Peach, Whiteston, Woodville,
Parkville, Tar Corner and Nicanor.

Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other
light outdoor objects.

Motorists should use extra caution in the vicinity of these storms.
Be prepared for rapid changes in weather and road conditions. Heavy
rain could cause ponding of water on roads, and possible minor
flooding of ditches and poor drainage areas.
