At 217 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Grandview to near Princeton. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.
Half inch hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Leawood, Belton, Gardner,
Harrisonville, Paola, Spring Hill, Peculiar, Osawatomie, Louisburg,
Edgerton, Garden City, La Cygne, Mound City, Archie, Drexel, Linn
Valley and Cleveland.
This includes Interstate 35 in Kansas between mile markers 200 and
220.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
