life and property.

occurs in the woodlands and wetlands along the river upstream and
downstream from a gage located by a dirt boat ramp on the west side
of Avant Mine off Adams Road in Washington County. The water will
be around two feet deep around an elevated USGS gage house. The
dirt road by the boat ramp will begin to flood.

of the Macon GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail floods north of the
Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The flood waters will be up to
3 feet deep on portions of the trail. Large portions of
agricultural lands east of Macon and well downstream will be under
1 to 5 feet of water.

* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by after
midnight tomorrow.
* At 27 feet...Minor flooding continues in the woodlands and
pasture upstream and downstream from the gage located around one
half mile upstream from the Georgia Highway 22 and 24 bridge. The
parking lot and the Oconee River Greenway Park just downstream from
the bridge will be completely flooded with water several feet deep.
Sinclair Dam will have three to four gates open to reach this
height.

Mainly mid to low level clouds out there right now but they will be lifting and clearing out shortly after sunrise. Main low pressure center centered over the Mid atlantic states and will continue moving NE through saturday evening. This low center will pull the remaining wrap around moisture to the NE with it allowing a slightly cooler and drier airmass to dominate the weather pattern in the short term. The pressure gradient stays fairly tight over North and Central GA today so gusty NW winds will continue through sunset this evening. High temps today will be mainly in the 50s to 60s with lows Sunday morning in the 30s and 40s. Temps will rebound Sunday with highs in the 60s to near 70. 01 .LONG TERM /Sunday Night through Friday/... Models in close agreement through the long term. Another short wave will move across the CWA Monday night, however this is expected to be much drier than the previous storm system. In fact, as it cross the CWA it will continue to weaken. As this short wave moves off the east coast, it will carve a deeper trough over the western Atlantic and in turn build a sharper ridge over the midwest. This will usher in colder air to the CWA.
