...LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...
At 400 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong convection along a
line extending from Weymouth to 9 miles northeast of Block Island.
Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph will accompany these storms. This line will
increase rainfall rates and wind gusts.
Locations impacted include...
New Bedford, Brockton, Quincy, Fall River, Plymouth, Taunton,
Weymouth, Braintree, Dartmouth, Bridgewater, Marshfield, Newport,
Marion, Middleborough, Easton, Hingham, Wareham, Somerset, Scituate
and Pembroke.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Get indoors when these storms approach. Winds may be strong enough to
produce minor damage, such as a few downed branches.
Do not drive through flooded roads or underpasses. Avoid low lying
