This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Thunderstorms are likely today into early tonight. There is a slight
risk for severe thunderstorms, with the main threat being damaging
wind gusts. Large hail and an isolated tornado can not be ruled out.
Locally heavy rainfall may lead to urban and poor drainage flooding,
with isolated flash flooding possible. Thunderstorms will generally
move from the west southwest, toward the east northeast at 25 to 30
mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible across portions of the mid Hudson
Valley and northwest Connecticut Thursday afternoon.

At 1146 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Myers Corner,
or near Poughkeepsie, moving east at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Pawling, Pleasant Valley, Wappingers Falls,
Highland, Fishkill, Fairview, Hopewell Junction, Marlboro, Red Oaks
Mill, Myers Corner, Wingdale, Dover Plains, East Fishkill, Beekman,

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause

SOUTHEASTERN DUTCHESS COUNTIES...

At 1210 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Wingdale, or 9
miles northwest of Pawling, moving east at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with this storm. This storm
also has a history of producing very heavy rain in a short period of
period which may result in localized flooding, especially in
urbanized and poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include... New Milford, Pawling, Kent, Millbrook, Hopewell Junction,
New Preston, Cornwall Bridge, Wingdale, Dover Plains, Gaylordsville,
East Fishkill, Beekman, Warren, Stormville, Baker Corner, South
Dover, Hoxie Corner, Candlewood Trails, Skiff Mountain and Clove
Valley.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

At 1235 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Kent, or 10
miles north of Sherman, moving east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph are possible with this storm. This storm
is producing very heavy rain in a short period of time which may
result in localized flooding. Exercise caution if you are
traveling through this storm as reduced visibilities are likely.

Locations impacted include...
Torrington, New Milford, Thomaston, Amenia, Kent, Sharon, Litchfield,
Northwest Harwinton, Gaylordsville, New Preston, Cornwall Bridge,
Winsted, Dover Plains, Wingdale, Harwinton, Washington, Goshen,
Morris, Warren and Cornwall.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause

along a line extending from near Caroga Lake to near Little Falls.
Movement was east at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Amsterdam, Gloversville, Johnstown, Canajoharie, Fonda, Fort Plain,
Dolgeville, St. Johnsville, Ephratah, Broadalbin, Hagaman,
Northville, Mayfield, Stratford, Fort Johnson, Cranberry Creek,
