The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Eastern Arkansas
  Far southern Illinois
  Western Kentucky
  Northeast Louisiana
  Far southeast Missouri
  Mississippi
  Western Tennessee

* Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 1010 PM
  until 600 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes likely
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Multiple corridors of strong to severe storms will
continue to spread east/northeastward across the region through the
early morning hours. An environment supportive of some tornadoes and
damaging winds will continue to develop eastward of the Mississippi
River overnight.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles
east and west of a line from 60 miles east northeast of Poplar Bluff
MO to 25 miles southwest of Natchez MS. For a complete depiction of

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
