South central Graham County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 645 PM MST * At 438 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated a line of thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. These storms were moving to the west around 5 to 10 mph. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Safford, Thatcher, Pima, Swift Trail Junction, Fort Grant, Junction Of Highways 191 And 266, Fort Thomas, Solomon, Mount Graham, Bonita and Frye Mesa Dam. Areas affected include the Frye Fire Burn Scar and locations below it, namely Ash Creek, Frye Creek and Swift Trail Rd (Highway 366). PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of washes and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots. This warning includes areas in or below a wildfire burn scar. Rainfall on burned areas can cause increased flash flooding, debris flows, mud slides, and rock slides.
