The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 745 PM MST

* At 615 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across Oro Valley, Marana and the northern portion of 
  the Tucson Metro area. The thunderstorms showed little movement. 
  Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Tortolita, Flowing Wells, Casas Adobes,
  Catalina Foothills, Dove Mountain, Catalina State Park, Catalina
  and Picture Rocks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM MST FOR
NORTHEASTERN PIMA COUNTY...

At 635 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain over Oro Valley, Marana and 
the Catalina Foothills. The thunderstorms were moving south at 10 to 
15 mph into the center of the Tucson Metro area. The gauge at the 
Oro Valley Public Works reported 1.69 inches of rainfall in one hour 
while the Pima Wash at Ina Road gauge reported 1.18 inches in one 
hour.  

Normally dry washes and low water crossings may be inundated in the
following locations...
Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Tortolita, Flowing Wells, Casas Adobes,
Catalina Foothills, Dove Mountain, Catalina State Park, Catalina and
Picture Rocks.
