...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM MST FOR
NORTHEASTERN PIMA COUNTY...
At 740 PM MST, rainfall amounts were quickly diminishing across the
greater Tucson area, with areas of moderate rainfall still noted
through portions of central and eastern Tucson, and into the
Catalina and Rincon mountains. Earlier heavy rainfall in excess of
1.5 inches in some locations will continue to generate heavy runoff
this evening, and flash flooding is still a threat.
Elevated flow has been noted in several washes and creeks, with 6.7
feet (4000 cfs) in Agua Caliente Creek near La Milagrosa. This will
continue to flow down into the Tanque Verde Wash.
Normally dry washes and low water crossings may be inundated in the
following locations... Tucson, Drexel Heights, Tucson Estates,
Tanque Verde, Flowing Wells, South Tucson, Rita Ranch, Vail, San
Xavier Mission, Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Park East, and
Catalina Foothills.
