NORTHERN BOONE COUNTIES...

At 905 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Cross Lanes to Tornado to near
Julian. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms. This storm may intensify. Be prepared.

Locations impacted include...
Charleston, Nitro, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar,
Sissonville, Montgomery, Chesapeake, Marmet, Belle, Cedar Grove,
Poca, East Bank, Glasgow, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Pinch and
Cross Lanes.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 14.
 Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 116.
 Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 42 and 57.
 West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 59 and 95.
 Route 119 between mile markers 55 and 80.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 929 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from Ranger to Dunlow to near Chandlerville.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Madison, Logan, Chapmanville, Van, Ranger, Mount Gay-Shamrock,
Spurlockville, Harts, Chief Logan State, Gill, Ulysses, Charley,
Keaton, Kiahsville, Dunlow, Hode, Holden, Danville, West Logan and
Mitchell Heights.

This includes Route 119 between mile markers 26 and 52.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams, and ponding of water on country roads and
farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of
swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
