The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Gove County in west central Kansas...

* Until 215 AM CDT
    
* At 145 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 9 miles north of Pendennis, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  southeastern Gove County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

SOUTHEASTERN GOVE COUNTY...
    
At 149 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 9 miles north of Pendennis, moving east at 45 mph.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN GOVE COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT
215 AM CDT...
        
The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.
Therefore the warning will be allowed to expire.  However small hail
and gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
west central Kansas.
