The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Red Flag Warning FOR HOT DRY AND WINDY CONDITIONS...which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 8 PM AKDT this evening. * Location...Kuskokwim Delta. * Winds...North 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 22 mph. * Relative Humidity...As low as 22 percent. * Temperatures...In the mid to upper 70s. * Weather...Isolated thunderstorms are possible through the day. * Timing...Winds, low relative humidity values, and high temperatures will peak late this afternoon and continue into the early evening. * Impacts...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be possible. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are imminent or occurring now, or will shortly.
