* At  1:30 AM Wednesday, the stage was  9.57 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Kiamichi River near Antlers is expected to rise 
  above flood stage this afternoon and continue to rise to near 26.3 
  feet by this evening. The river is expected to fall below flood 
  stage this evening.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, minor flooding occurs along the west bank of 
  the Kiamichi River near Moyers. Campers should move to higher 
  ground.

* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Kiamichi River near Antlers is expected to rise 
  above flood stage this morning and continue to rise to near 40.0 
  feet by this evening. The river is expected to fall below flood 
  stage Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet, disasterous flooding occurs along the 
  Kiamichi River. Water floods the parking lot of a grocery store 
  near Moyers. Backwater flooding may cause Ethel Road near Beaver 
  Creek to be closed. This will approach the record flood event which
  occurred on May, 4 1990 when the Kiamichi River crested at 40.44 
  feet. This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening 
  situation.

  near 36.0 feet Thursday before dawn. The river is expected to fall 
  below flood stage Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, numerous structures become flooded along the 
  west bank of Kiamichi River near Moyers. This will exceed the 
  flooding which occurred on April 8, 2002 when the river crested at 
  36.13 feet. The City of Antlers may see backwater flooding that 
  could close Ethel Road near Beaver Creek. This is an extremely 
  dangerous and life threatening situation.

  Antlers is not threatened directly by the Kiamichi flooding but 
  backwater flooding occurs along Beaver Creek closing Ethel Road. 
  This is a dangerous situation.

DISCUSSION...
AREAS OF RAIN WITH A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEGUN TO SPREAD
INTO PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA LATE THIS AFTERNOON.  THIS
ACTIVITY IS MOVING INTO A MORE STABLE AIRMASS AND WILL LIKELY
REMAIN BELOW SEVERE LIMITS.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTH-CENTRAL OKLAHOMA WILL SPREAD
INTO EASTERN OKLAHOMA THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. A
LIMITED RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL ACCOMPANY THE STRONGEST
STORMS...PRIMARILY ACROSS SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA WHERE THE GREATEST
INSTABILITY WILL PERSIST. THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL POSE A RISK FOR
BOTH LARGE HAIL AND LOCALIZED DAMAGING WINDS. AN ISOLATED
TORNADO OR TWO CAN NOT BE RULED OUT.

CONDITIONS REMAIN CONDUCIVE FOR LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...ESPECIALLY
ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA. WET SOIL CONDITIONS WILL ALLOW QUICK ONSET

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY DEVELOP ALONG THE FRONTAL
BOUNDARY WHERE TEMPERATURES WARM SUFFICIENTLY.  A FEW SEVERE
STORMS ARE LIKELY GIVEN THE EXPECTED DEGREE OF INSTABILITY.
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL DECREASE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...BEFORE
BECOMING MORE WIDESPREAD OVER THE WEEKEND ALONG WITH ANOTHER
