...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE ACROSS CENTRAL GEORGIA THIS
AFTERNOON...

...POST FRONTAL RAINS CONTINUE ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA THIS AFTERNOON...

DISCUSSION...
A COLD FRONT ACROSS CENTRAL GEORGIA WILL CONTINUE TO DRIFT SOUTHWARD
THROUGH TONIGHT. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND AHEAD
OF THE FRONT THROUGH THE AFTERNOON... MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A
HAMILTON TO WARRENTON LINE. NO SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED AS
INSTABILITIES REMAIN MARGINAL OR LESS.

AN ACTIVE WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE AREAS OF
LIGHT TO OCCASIONAL MODERATE RAIN SHOWERS BEHIND THE FRONT.
HOWEVER... RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH THIS EVENING SHOULD BE UNDER ONE
HALF INCH ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA AND GENERALLY AN INCH OR LESS ACROSS
CENTRAL GEORGIA THROUGH TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS
OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKES AND BRIEF GUSTY WINDS WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORM THAT DEVELOPS.

ANY TRAINING OF RAIN SHOWERS OVER ALREADY SATURATED GROUNDS COULD
PRODUCE LOCALIZED MINOR FLOODING ALONG LOW LYING... FLOOD PRONE
AREAS... TO INCLUDE SOME CREEKS AND RIVERS. FALLING LEAVES COULD
BLOCK DRAINS AND CAUSE TEMPORARY STREET FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

GULF MOISTURE WILL OVER-RUN A WEDGE OF SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE TO
PRODUCE RAIN SHOWERS ACROSS PARTS OF NORTH AND MUCH OF CENTRAL
GEORGIA THROUGH MONDAY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL COULD RESULT IN MINOR
FLOOD PROBLEMS FOR SOME AREAS THROUGH MONDAY.

ANOTHER COLD FRONT MOVES INTO GEORGIA ON THURSDAY WITH SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED ON TUESDAY... WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY
OF NEXT WEEK.
